about

Veneer is a further exploration of my interest in combining the rigorous systematic approach of early minimalism and the more intuitive language of post minimalists like John Adams. The piece uses the full ensemble to create a gradually shifting, kaleidoscopic texture that hopefully sounds organic despite its rigid construction.
Veneer was written in 2016 for the Crash Ensemble.
